About Rusta
The first department store was opened in 1986 by the entrepreneur Anders Forsgren and Bengt-Olov Forssell, who are still the company’s main owners. Rusta currently has 93 stores in Sweden, 31 in Norway and 2 in Germany. In 2018, Rusta acquired the Finnish retail chain Hong Kong, which means that Rusta is now active in four markets, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Germany.
